Help!

The leaves keep falling off and it is very, very moist despite the fact that i have not been watering it! I watered it at first, (from the bottom) but it was never dry, and I didn't want to drown it.

Now the stems are very swollen and, well, wet...and they keep falling off! Please help me save this!

hey margaret! it's Sean here to help save your flower!

Is there drainage in the pot? I would suggest getting a new pot and making sure it has a way for the excess water you give it to drain out of the soil. It sounds like the little guy is waterlogged.

To repot the fragile little thing, get a small trowel and take out the plant by gently lifting it out of the pot with the trowel. Make sure some soil stays around the roots or it may cause too much trauma to it.

Put it in the new pot and gently place some new drier soil around it. The new soil should take the excess away from the old soil and from the plant. Give it a very small amount of water and begin a normal water regiment again. That should help. If it doesn't I will personally buy you a new African Violet.

Hope all is well with you and the hubby. You're in my prayers.
Peace and love,
Sean

Not sure how you're watering from the bottom, but that article mentions the proper way, personally we water our from the top. It's a bit easier and still works.
